We are on the look out for a talented lead developer to work at our Yatala head office in Queensland, Australia.

Working VISA sponsorship can be provided for the right applicant. 

We also have part-time remote working positions available.

You will be required to work on various Ruby on Rails development projects for two websites.

 

We have a recently launched site that has lots of development work planned. We also have an existing site that requires a small amount of development and then ongoing maintenance.

Along with the development of applications / functions for these sites you will also be responsible for overseeing the development and deploying of outsourced tasks to the live site.

 

This role will involve working with the project manager to create development briefs & manage the development process ensuring outsourced development is completed to an acceptable level.

 

Please note that candidates will be required to complete a short sample project upon progressing to the interview stage to evaluate their capabilities.

 

Experience in managing outsourced development staff is highly desirable.

Sound written and spoken English skills are essential. 

 

 

Technical Skills (Essential):

 

Ruby on Rails (v3.1+) & Ruby (v1.9+)

MySQL (v5+) database

HTML5 & CSS3

Javascript & jQuery

Git distributed version control system

Linux (Pref Red hat) Server Management

 

 

Additional Skills (Desired):

 

Experience with Github and gitflow

Experience working with various API formats

PostgreSQL

PSD to HTML slicing

Plesk Control Panel

Comfortable working on Mac

Good working knowledge of PHP
